The Thies Clima Sensor US S81950 is a professional compact all-in-one weather station designed to acquire multiple meteorological parameters from a single rugged instrument, including 2D ultrasonic wind speed and direction, air temperature, relative humidity, barometric pressure, precipitation and brightness. Wind is measured without moving parts using orthogonal ultrasonic paths for inertia-free gust and peak-value detection, while precipitation is detected contactlessly using Doppler radar, temperature and humidity use an integrated precision combination sensor, and pressure is measured using MEMS piezoresistive technology. The system also incorporates a GPS receiver for position, time and sun-position calculations, RS485/RS422 communication, Modbus RTU support and integrated heating, making it suitable for advanced automatic weather stations, environmental networks and renewable-energy monitoring systems.
