Vector A100LM/PC3 Anemometer

Low-power IEC-classified optoelectronic cup anemometer for precision wind-speed measurement, offering a 0–75 m/s range, 0.2 m/s starting threshold and high-frequency pulse output.

Typical Applications

  • Wind resource assessment
  • Wind measurement campaigns
  • Meteorological stations
  • Wind-farm site assessment
  • Remote met masts
  • Wind-turbine performance monitoring
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Research installations
  • Battery-powered measurement stations
  • Solar-powered wind monitoring

The Vector A100LM/PC3 Anemometer is a low-power optoelectronic cup anemometer developed for high-quality wind-speed measurement in wind-resource assessment, meteorological monitoring and remote met-mast installations. Its low-inertia three-cup rotor interrupts an optical beam to generate a high-frequency pulse output proportional to wind speed. The current Ammonit configuration provides a 0–75 m/s measurement range, 0.2 m/s starting speed, 0.05 m/s resolution and extremely low power consumption of typically less than 1 mA, making the A100LM/PC3 particularly suitable for autonomous battery- or solar-powered wind-measurement systems.

Key Features

  • Optoelectronic 3-cup anemometer
  • IEC-classified instrument
  • Low-power measurement
  • High-frequency pulse output
  • 0–75 m/s measurement range
  • ±0.2 m/s accuracy below 10 m/s
  • ±2% accuracy above 10 m/s
  • 0.05 m/s resolution
  • 0.2 m/s starting wind speed
  • 2.3 m ±10% distance constant
  • 0.4% full-range non-linearity
  • 4.75–28 VDC supply
  • Typical current consumption below 1 mA
  • -30°C to +70°C ambient range
  • Recommended 24-month recalibration interval

The A100LM/PC3 typically consumes less than 1 mA while operating, which is especially useful on remote met masts where the wind sensor must run continuously from a small battery/solar power system without becoming a significant part of the site power budget.
