The MS-713 Spectroradiometer is a research-grade, all-weather extended near-infrared spectroradiometer designed to measure solar spectral irradiance from 900 to 2500 nm. Its actively temperature-controlled detector, rugged grating-based optical system and NIST-traceable calibration provide stable measurements across demanding outdoor environments. The MS-713 can operate independently or pair with the MS-711N in the WISER II system, extending measurement from 300 to 2500 nm and covering approximately 98% of the integrated solar-terrestrial spectrum.

Key Features

  • 900–2500 nm extended NIR measurement
  • Optical resolution below 20 nm
  • ±2 nm wavelength accuracy
  • Temperature-controlled detector core
  • -20°C detector temperature control
  • Fast 1–30 ms exposure
  • NIST-traceable calibration
  • Calibration uncertainty budget
  • Excellent long-term stability
  • All-weather outdoor construction
  • Rugged grating optical design
  • RS-422 / RS-232 communication
  • PC and data-logger control
  • Compatible with EKO STR-Series Sun Trackers
  • IP65 environmental protection

When paired with MS-711N, the MS-713 extends spectral measurement to 2500 nm, allowing the WISER II combination to capture approximately 98% of the integrated solar-terrestrial spectrum — particularly useful for PV research, atmospheric studies and satellite-data validation.
